Absolute presence. AI answers mentioning Maxima ÷ total AI answers analysed × 100. Each answer counts once: Maxima is either present or absent. If Maxima appears in 40 of 100 answers, its visibility is 40%.
Here’s where we take Maxima next.
We’ve already proven Maxima can win the comparison conversation. This plan shows which page formats competitors are winning with, what Maxima already has and what we should publish next across all ten categories.
Share of voice by brand
Maxima ranks #6 of 11 overall across the complete tracked prompt set.
Relative competitive presence. Maxima’s weighted mentions ÷ weighted mentions for Maxima and the tracked competitors. Position weights: 1st = 3; 2nd–3rd = 2; 4th–5th = 1; later = 0.5.
Here’s where we stand — and where the headroom is.
We’re measuring visibility daily. The monitors below show exactly where competitors are still ahead, and what we’ll publish together to close each gap.
AI visibility metrics
How we win each category, one monitor at a time.
Maxima is highlighted in blue; the category leader is tagged on its bar. All monitor charts use the same 0–40% scale.
We are not starting over. Maxima already has strong guides, comparison pages, customer stories and short answers. For each monitor, we reviewed the 20 competitor pages cited most often and grouped them by format: list article, comparison, product page, educational article or homepage. We will improve Maxima pages that already work, add the missing page formats and create a new page only when the current content cannot answer the buyer’s question clearly.
We can publish multiple listicles within one category when each page answers a different buyer decision or workflow—for example, account reconciliation, payment reconciliation and cash application. We will avoid near-duplicate “Top 5” and “Top 10” pages for the same shortlist. One broad listicle can be supported by narrower workflow lists, product pages, comparisons, reviews and question-and-answer pages.
Every example below comes only from that monitor’s results. The citation number shows how many tracked AI answers used that page as a source during this 14-day period. Different tracked versions of the same page are counted as one page.
Direct Maxima Comparisons
Maxima leads this monitor by 14.5% over FloQast.
Keep the comparison pages that already win, expand the listicle series and add the four-way comparison buyers still need.
What competitors publish · Of the 20 competitor pages cited most often, 9 are “best tools” or alternatives lists, 6 are comparison or review articles, 2 are product pages, 2 are homepages and 1 is an educational article. Comparison pages were cited 321 times and list articles 311 times, so both formats are important here.
What Maxima already has · Maxima already leads this monitor. Its financial-close software list, Maxima vs FloQast page, BlackLine alternatives article and Numeric comparison are all being cited often. We should improve these winners, not replace them.
What Maxima should publish next · Build a series of listicles with different buyer decisions: refresh Maxima’s financial-close and AI accounting lists, then add focused lists for reconciliation software, journal-entry automation and transaction matching. Publish one four-way comparison covering Maxima, FloQast, BlackLine and Numeric. Add question-and-answer pages for gaps around accounting systems, company size and implementation effort.
Numeric · FloQast vs BlackLine vs Numeric · 130 monitor citations · Compares three products in one page using buyer fit, rollout and capabilities.
Ledge · BlackLine vs FloQast · 69 monitor citations · Uses feedback from finance leaders to support the comparison.
Numeric · FloQast alternatives · 64 monitor citations · Shows which alternative fits which kind of buyer.

Competitive alternatives
Numeric leads by 17.7%. Maxima currently ranks #8 of 11.
Expand the alternatives series across more competitors and deeper buyer angles.
What competitors publish · Of the 20 competitor pages cited most often, 9 are alternatives or “best tools” lists, 5 are comparison pages, 5 are homepages and 1 is an educational article. Alternatives lists were cited 282 times, so this monitor is clearly won by list-style articles.
What Maxima already has · Maxima already has BlackLine and FloQast alternatives articles, and both are being cited. The financial-close software list also appears here. The clear missing page is a Numeric alternatives list.
What Maxima should publish next · Build an alternatives series that starts with FloQast, BlackLine and Numeric, then expands to Trintech, HighRadius, OneStream, NetClose and other competitors that appear in buyer questions. We can publish multiple alternatives articles for the same competitor when each explores a deeper angle—such as workflow, accounting system, implementation approach, company stage or level of automation. Support the series with product reviews, head-to-head comparisons and question-and-answer pages about pricing, implementation and best fit.
Numeric · FloQast alternatives · 72 monitor citations · Matches each alternative to a team type, accounting system and rollout need.
Numeric · BlackLine alternatives · 61 monitor citations · Compares 12 alternatives in one easy-to-scan article.

End-to-end financial close automation
FloQast leads by 21.3%. Maxima currently ranks #8 of 11.
Build around the close-software article that already works, then add a clear product page and several focused listicles.
What competitors publish · Of the 20 competitor pages cited most often, 8 are “best software” lists, 5 are product pages, 4 are homepages, 2 are comparisons and 1 is an educational article. The list articles were cited 476 times—far more than any other format.
What Maxima already has · Maxima’s financial-close software list is already the strongest Maxima page in this monitor, with 56 citations. The AI accounting tools article and main Maxima page also appear. Maxima is already explaining that it prepares and completes work rather than only tracking tasks; we should make that message easier to find.
What Maxima should publish next · Refresh the broad “best financial close software” listicle, then publish separate listicles for the best close software for lean teams, the best software to replace Excel close checklists and the best NetSuite close automation tools. Add one financial-close automation product page and question-and-answer pages about implementation effort, reducing a 10-day close and the work Maxima prepares for review.
Numeric · Financial close software · 118 monitor citations · A broad “best software” list that appears across most prompts in this monitor.
HighRadius · Financial close platforms · 110 monitor citations · A second broad list aimed at enterprise close teams.

What Maxima should publish next · Publish one journal-entry automation product page and refresh the existing guide. Roll out separate listicles for journal-entry software overall, recurring and accrual entries, and NetSuite journal automation. Add question-and-answer pages for prepaids, batch entries, human approval and posting controls.

Give reconciliation a dedicated product page and several software lists for different reconciliation workflows.
What competitors publish · Of the 20 competitor pages cited most often, 8 are product or solution pages, 5 are “best software” lists, 5 are homepages and 2 are comparisons. The lists were cited 387 times and the product pages 311 times, so both formats matter.
What Maxima already has · Maxima already has a reconciliation guide and a bank-reconciliation software article. Yet the monitor is mainly citing the Maxima homepage, which means the existing content is not being recognized as the clearest answer for account and balance-sheet reconciliation.
What Maxima should publish next · Publish one account and balance-sheet reconciliation product page and refresh the existing guide. Build separate listicles for account reconciliation, balance-sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, payment reconciliation and high-volume reconciliation. Add question-and-answer pages for exceptions, evidence, specific account types and reviewer sign-off.

Build separate listicles for transaction-matching tools, bank-to-ledger matching, cash-application software and high-volume or many-to-many matching. Add question-and-answer pages for exception handling, human review and posting results back to the accounting system.
HighRadius · Transaction matching · 161 monitor citations · A product page that covers complex matching, exceptions and accounting-system connections.

But the broad financial-close software list is still Maxima’s most-cited page in this monitor, while the NetSuite-specific pages rarely appear.
What Maxima should publish next · Publish one NetSuite integration product page covering the connection, what Maxima reads and writes, approvals, journal posting and setup effort. Build separate listicles for NetSuite close automation, NetSuite reconciliation and NetSuite journal-entry tools. Keep the Ramp, Brex, Salesforce and journal-entry articles as question-and-answer pages for those specific use cases.

How we’ll actually run this.
No complicated publishing calendar. We work on one monitor at a time, publish the pages needed for its tracked questions and move on only when Maxima has a clear answer for each important question.
Then we review the results. Every week or two we check whether each page appears in AI answers, earns citations and improves share of voice in its monitor. If a page works, we expand it. If it does not, we make the answer clearer or combine it with a stronger page. The results decide what we work on next.
Alongside the content, we keep building trust on third-party websites. We will look for relevant sites where Maxima should be mentioned and ask for inclusion when there is a genuine fit. We can run this separately or include it in the monthly outreach work.
